Congratulations to Chris Walker (Tr 94) who married Rosie Agnew in June 2008 and to Peter Blake (RD 94) who married Jennie Steres in October 2008 in San Diego, California.
Govind Dhar (BF 97) currently living in Dubai reported for Rolling Stone (Indian Edition) at length from the Glastonbury Festival, amongst his other writing commissions. Peace and love!

Peace and love? How improper! =p
10 years of Badgerfest

It isn't 10 years that the forum has been running. It seems like it was maybe the second half of 2003.
It certainly isn't 10 years of us knowing each other, that varies and is gonna be longer than that in most cases.
However since I put the "blatantly ploying since 1999" tagline on the site (if you use that skin) then we're now in 2009 this calls for 10 year anniverasy celebrations.
Well, that too might be a bit extreme, but it means we should at least fix badgerfest. Or upgrade.
Which is the route I'm looking at, so I need to know what features people actually use / want out of badgerfest.
I.e. the ability to post a slap directly to Drew (though the most requested forum feature globally, no forum yet supports this).
So my list so far goes:
So you people who use Badgerfest, tell me what you want.

So my list so far goes:
- Post Topics in forums. (that one is a bit of a no brainer)
- Post counts and humorous "rankings"
- Polls.
- Manage Birthdays / addresses for the group (could be useful)
- Have RSS feeds of pertinent stuff, brithdays, posts, etc...
- Image gallery function.
- Private Messaging ?
- File attachments
- Optional Email Notifications
- The other really obvious thing I just missed...
So you people who use Badgerfest, tell me what you want.

Votematch may help. It certainly gives some steer as to who may chime with your thoughts and links to information on the debates surrounding issues.
Give it a go.

From discussions in Christchurch, I learned that some of you are not aware of Maru:
Orchid Hotel Cancellations

Orchid Hotel Wedding Bookings 25th July 09
Since the fiasco of the Orchid hotel going into administration I've been holding out for the deposit money to come through on the Wedding Insurance, but they've recently confirmed that those deposits are not covered in our policy...
To make matters worse, my parents had an email from the Orchid saying that if guests who have rooms booked do not arrive for the night of the reservation, they will be charged at the full rate. They've given us a list of the people that booked for the wedding and those are:
Mr M Simmonds - 25/07/09 - 1 x Double room - £40.00 deposit paid
Mr S Rossiter - 25/07/09 - 1 x Single room - £20.00 deposit paid
Mr C Walker - 25/07/09 - 1 x Double room - £40.00 deposit paid
I know there were rumours of people going down to Bournemouth on the 25th July to make use of their booking and enjoy giving drew a slap.
My only concern is if you haven't cancelled your booking, and you're not planning on coming down then I suggest you cancel ASAP.
Also, I dont know who else booked a room but I think Jonnyboy did - and he's not on the above list. I suggest you just make sure that if you booked at the Orchid, and are not planning a trip down in July, then cancel it well in advance so they dont find any other reasons to screw us over!
Sorry for all this grief...
Hopefully the 30th of May will make up for it!
Peace out...
